Afternoon Beer Tour

Kelham Island is famous for its real ale pubs and is at the heart of Sheffield’s brewing heritage. Taking place on a Friday afternoon, this tour focuses on beer brewed in the Steel City, alongside a tasty selection of and beer-appropriate snacks and tastings. 

This walking tour of Kelham Island, Sheffield is a fun, social and informative way to get an insiders guide on what the area has to offer, meet some of the people behind the scenes and sample some of best beer and food in the city. All food and drink provided on the tour is included in the price of your ticket.


Tour Highlights:

  • Taste a selection of beers from three of the finest local breweries.

  • Visit Boozehound at the Cutlery Works (the largest food-hall in the North of England) and enjoy a substantial first beer-snack from Pie-eyed.

  • Visit Sheffield Cheesemasters, the first and only urban cheesemaker in Sheffield. Enjoy a tour of the cheese make-room and hear about the cheese making process. Finishing with generous samples of  the delicious ‘Little Mester’ cheese. 

  • Stop at one of the best riverside pubs in the UK and sample ales from True North Brew Co.

  • Mystery stop to do some beer-appropriate snacking.

  • Quick-stop at award-winning Kelham Island brewery shop for those that want to pick up a few take-homes.

  • We end the tour at a Kelham Island Institution, The Fat Cat - brewery tap of Kelham Island Brewery. Early pioneers of the microbrewery,  a brewer will take you through the history of the brewery and beer and a tutored beer tasting of their flagship ales.
